Peoples Medicine Project seeks to close the health disparity gap by acting as a bridge between the health-promoting offerings here in Franklin County, and the folks who need them most. Specifically, we seek to increase access to alternative and complimentary healing modalities. The People’s Medicine project runs a free, weekly health clinic in Greenfield MA, a medicinal herb garden to supply clients’ herbal treatments, and an acupuncture access program for people in early opioid recovery. (Kate has been a volunteer practitioner with PMP since 2017 and offers individual yoga sessions at the clinic.) In addition to financial stresses, many of our clients have experienced trauma, homelessness, and/or addiction. If you are interested in alternative health services but are unable to afford them, we have your back! Visit the People’s Medicine Project website for more information or with questions about eligibility.
