Dana Duren

Dana Duren is a teacher, improviser, choreographer, and performer based in Western Massachusetts. Since 2017, Dana has choreographed and performed in contemporary, postmodern and dance theater works as a solo artist and as a  collaborator with Venus Wheeler Dance Collective. Her recent works, including “Me in My Bathroom” (Mobile Dance Film Festival Official Selection), explore utilitarianism and absurdity. Earning her 200-hour teaching certification in 2018, Dana began teaching yoga, in addition to dance technique, in after-school programs and studios. She also works as a teacher for students with disabilities (Massachusetts, Initial License) and plans to combine her passions for movement and educational equity in future graduate level study. She currently has a B.A. in Dance and Anthropology from Smith College.

Dana teaches movement and yoga for the Clay, Yoga, and Art summer program held by Shelburne Falls Yoga, The Art Garden, and The Handle Factory.
